Weeeeell, here I go again with the facebook blog(illegally, I wonder?), to spread wisdom and boredom in hopefully generous and miserly portions respectively…lol! Anyways while writing these blog posts I’ve realized that I don’t actually think about a lot of subjects, I just think about the same subjects over and over again…Maybe writing this will make me think about other stuff…
I thought I’d go into something I picked up from Prisonbreak and thought about a lot lately today…It’s the ‘Darwin versus Einstein’ theory. If you’ve watched Prisonbreak, you’ll remember that episode where C-Note wants to get in to the PR team that’s going to break out of prison, and he asks Michael, ‘Who do you think will win, Darwin or Einstein?’. This was a sorta brilliant piece of writing by the crew on Prisonbreak, so kudos to them. What C-Note actually means is, is Michael going to survive by taking C-Note in(according to Darwin’s theory), or is he going to work out some weird scheme to kick C-Note out using his Einstein brain? Well, I like to think about it in a different context. Not to say anything bad about Darwin, but Einstein was the more humanitarian of the two. Plus he believed in God, which is probably why the poor misguided bloke thought his plans for the Hydrogen Bomb could be actually used for Nuclear disarmament and not for mass destruction as it was actually used. He didn’t like to believe that people were all bad. I like to think of Einstein in this context more than as the most brilliant scientist of all time. Darwin’s theory, on the other hand, propounds that all species in the animal kingdom are in a constant race for survival, and those who can win that race will live to evolve and etc etc…The question is, does this theory apply to human society? Well it does to business…companies are always competing with each other and will ruthlessly kill off any others at the first chance they get…As the Japanese say, business is war, all is fair in love and war, and therefore, all is fair in business!!!Anyway enough of that. So where was I? Oh yeah, will people ruthlessly compete with each other uncaringly? Or will they take to being Einsteins, and turn away from the competition and help a fallen comrade? That is the question. Is it Darwin or Einstein that ultimately wins out? Would a person let Darwin or Einstein win if, say, someone’s life was on the line? I have no idea. I like to think of myself as an Einstein. You’ve got to ask yourself: who owns you? Darwin or Einstein??
Goodnight.
P.S. By the way, I have NOTHING against Darwin. I believe his theory of evolution, although it has a few holes in it.
