Ok, here we go again, some more shitty philosophy by the shitty philosophy guy.
The good news is, the Royal-Thomian is coming up!!! Woooooohooooooo! Two days of fun and unimaginable madness. Hope I get to meet all my friends... Anyway, we finished work on the March 2008 issue of 'The Royalist', finally. It'll be launched tommorrow. That's a relief. I've been up till 2 in the morning for the past week working on it. Hopefully, it'll sell well.
Anyways, to the crappy philosophy part of this blog. Did I tackle the problem of love before? I don't think so. Love is a scary subject. Not only because it makes me feel weird like I'm some asshole from a cheap soap opera, but because, well, love is weird in a scary sort of way. I know people talk about it like it's profound, blah blah blah etc etc... but what is it really? We know for a fact that love DOES NOT come from the heart, your heart is a piece of stupid muscle and the only thing that can come from it is a steady supply of blood, you morons! The thing is we feel love in the heart coz When our brain feels love, it sorta speeds the heart up a lot, so we feel the worst of it in our hearts, but your brain sorta goes in to a lock-like thing too, don't it? How come no one talks about that?
I think love is beyond our understanding. We should just stop wasting our time trying to figure it out. It has been discussed for centuries, but what it is remains a mystery. Anyway, why bother? Anyone who has fallen in love knows that it hits you like a sledgehammer and/or saps your energy like some sort of massive leech, until you can't think about anything else. Denied love is even worse. Hopefully everyone in the world will get to be with their one true love eventually, though the chances are slim.
Akbo propounds a very original theory about love, that it should be practiced in accordance with the Sathara Brahma Viharana. Now that isn't as complicated as it sounds, the Sathara Brahma Viharana are, Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy in other's happiness and Equanimity. It doesn't exactly explain what love is, but it gives us a good lesson in how to love. I sorta agree with this theory, and hopefully, that's how I've loved thus far!!:D
Goodnight.
