I won’t bother wasting time to go on and on about how long it’s taken me to follow up on my blogs, etc etc, that’s just plain boring, right? :D I’ll just start off with a big hi to the people who care…HI!
I thought I’d come around again ‘coz I had this feeling that I should talk about something that affects us all although some people never admit its existence. That something is the invisible cloud of energy that engulfs all living and non – living things, affecting them in various ways: AURA.
Of course, being a band that takes ambience very seriously has no doubt made me a true follower of the ‘cult’ of Aura, but I can say without any doubt that I believed in this concept way before Raaksha came to be. I consider it near impossible to ignore the perceptible feeling generated by each and every person according to their personality, emotions and intellect. When you think about the fact that you get this feeling from each person regardless of their facial expression and what you know about them, you have to start believing in that intangible ‘cloud’ of energy revolving around that person.
Now let’s consider the concept of universal energy. In my belief (which, incidentally, is concurrent with the core beliefs of Buddhism) we all contain a small piece of this universal energy, which is released back to the universe when we die. This energy is molded solely based on the things we do, and our attitude. As all other objects, animate and inanimate, contain their own portion of universal energy, they perceive the nature of our own portion of universal energy when we interact with them, as do we theirs. Imagine a person that makes you smile as soon as you see them, then think of someone who is in mourning, and think about how their aura of sadness adversely affects you.
Let’s move on to the more interesting stuff: the supernatural. When we consider the universal energy of each being, isn’t it possible that if that energy, or aura, is of a particularly turbulent nature, for the energy to remain in some form after the physical dimensions of that being have been destroyed? The spiritual beings we hear of, ghosts, demons, etc, could very well be the result of this kind of thing. Take the patron demon of Raaksha, Mahasona, as an example. Mahasona was, during his lifetime, a renowned hunter by the name of Jayasena. The circumstances of his death, being killed by his best friend in a duel, could very well have caused a great amount of turbulence within his aura. This energy fueled by pure violence could create a being of pure energy, namely, Mahasona. Likewise, many such demons could, in fact, exist, thriving on the type of emotion that affected their aura strongly during their lifetime. To the people who would scoff at this very idea: how do you explain away the aura you feel from each and every person around you? You can’t deny that you’re susceptible to that energy; therefore it should be possible for that energy to linger after a person has passed away. For is it not one of the fundamental laws of physics that energy cannot be created nor destroyed? Therefore it is possible that an especially turbulent aura could cause the energy of a being to linger, without returning to the pool of universal energy.
Enough with the philosophy. Good night!!! And keep your auras clean.
